Vision, Mission and Values
Vision:
To provide a worship service and pastoral care relationship at the Legacy Retirement Residence that would serve as a basis for the development of a church congregation that targets the un-churched and de-churched people including the Legacy residents, Legacy residents’ local family members, and those living in the surrounding community of East Mesa by establishing an extension of the Living Faith Anglican Church in that neighborhood.
Mission:
To be a gathering of people who live and serve as Jesus lives so that He may be known, worshipped, and obeyed throughout the community of East Mesa.
Core Values:
To be a gathering of people relying on the biblical purposes for Jesus’ Church:
- The Great Commandment (John 15:12-14) “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.”
- The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
- The Communion (Acts 2:42-47) “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
