Pat Darrah
Pat Darrah is the Ministry Director of Adult Discipleship and supports people as they work on growing closer to Christ by supporting and developing seminars, classes, groups, events and resources that help people in their walks with the Lord. She has three primary qualifications for this position: (1) a hunger to grow closer to the Lord and to learn how to better follow Christ, (2) a desire to help others to grow closer to Christ and to share that love with others, and (3) a willingness to work and learn. Since starting on this path of becoming the Ministry Director of Adult Discipleship, she has often felt under qualified and overwhelmed, but never alone as the Lord as been at her side.
Pat was born and raised in the Midwest with basic old-fashioned values. She married at 18, had a daughter at 19, graduated from college at 21, taught sixth grade for 6 years, and divorced at 25. After moving to California, she was compelled to seek a church and found a small church where for four years she was able to attend and soak up God's healing presence without ever being asked to serve...or even attend a coffee! After a period of time, she moved to Arizona to be closer to her daughter and her family and began searching for a church. She immediately found St. James where the Lord was obviously present and she was asked to participate and serve. She was privileged to be there when God birthed Living Faith and to see the awesome work He can do through us. Pat now lives with her daughter, son-in-law, 3 grandchildren, 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and a fish in a house that they built together. After retiring from Deere and Company in 2010, she is now blessed to be able to spend much of her time with the Lord's people, worshipping Him and doing His work. With time still available for her family and friends, she enjoys watching HGTV and the Food Network, doing puzzles and reading mysteries. Her life is truly blessed!
