People often inquire about membership in a local church because we experience the church of Jesus Christ in a living body of believers. Living Faith is just such a body and our membership requirements are simple and straightforward.
The requirements for membership at Living Faith are that one:
- be a believer in Jesus Christ,
- be a baptized Christian, and
- desires and requests membership
We require also that any person seeking membership participate in a New Beginnings course to learn more about who we are and what we believe and do as members of Living Faith. For more information on when New Beginnings membership classes are scheduled to be held, please call the church office at 480-831-2514.
Being a local church body is vital, but that is not all we are. Our church members are in fellowship as members of a Christian community, which is also in fellowship with other church communities that follow the principles and practices of the Anglican way of following Jesus. For example, we subscribe to the ancient creeds, which were largely developed by Christians in the pre-Roman period of the church's formation. This makes our foundations both biblical and ancient. We experienced reform in the 16th century and the Articles of Religion clarified and corrected our teachings. These professions and beliefs serve to strengthen our worship services and our Worship FAQs assist us in explaining the basis for our manner of worship.
