Ordination

Occasionally, people are uniquely qualified to serve the Lord Jesus as an ordained minister.  The Anglican Mission in the Americas has a process outlined for the purpose of facilitating credentialing and spiritual preparation in companionship with the local church.

When the preparations have been completed, the bishop is invited to the church building and the people of God raise up a person who is so called and the bishop leads them in a service of ordination.  This worship service includes an examination and a set of vows that bind the person being ordained to God in a covenant that endures.
